This hi-tech movie based on a war toy franchise stars Jonathan Pryce (who already has form as a Bond-movie villain) in a dual role. He's a charming, unnamed US president and the megalomaniac supercrook who abducts him and takes his place in the White House with a view to world domination by way of nuclear blackmail. Only the elite force known as GI Joes can stop him, and along the way there's a massive body count of North Koreans, ninjas, Pakistanis and American special forces, and one of the US heroes goes early on to an early grave. The comic relief is provided by the arsenal hidden in retired General Bruce Willis's suburban home. It's like the childhood dream of the president of the National Rifle Association. This hi-tech movie based on a war toy franchise stars Jonathan Pryce (who already has form as a Bond-movie villain) in a dual role.
