Emergency services have been called to a large woodland fire in Inverness. A large woodland fire threatening properties on the outskirts of Inverness has been brought under control.

Four fire engines and 20 firefighters are currently at the scene. At its height, eight fire engines and 40 firefighters were at the scene.

A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: "The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are currently in attendance to extinguish the fire, but as a precautionary measure police are asking members of the public to avoid the Milton of Leys area at this time."
