Karen Mosquera, 22, had come to Israel to learn about and convert to Judaism, according to Ha'aretz. There were clashes between stone-throwing youths and police after a "symbolic funeral" for Adbel-Rahman Shaloudi in the East Jerusalem neighbourhood of Silwan on Sunday.
On Sunday evening clashes ensued between Palestinians and Israeli police in East Jerusalem after a "symbolic funeral" for the deceased Palestinian driver, Abdel Rahman al-Shaludi. A dispute between Shaloudi's family and Israeli authorities over the number of mourners permitted at his funeral delayed the release of Shaloudi's body until later in the day. His burial on Sunday night passed without incident.
His family say they have not received his body for burial because they refused a demand from the Israeli authorities that any funeral be limited to 20 attendees. The funeral of the Ecuadorean victim, 22-year-old Karen Mosquera, was held early on Monday.
Local media report that the suspect's teenage brother has been arrested. Israel's Haaretz newspaper said she had come to Israel to learn about and convert to Judaism.
The baby girl and her parents were US citizens, Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat told the Associated Press news agency. Ms Mosquera and Haya Zissel Braun were killed in what police say was a "terrorist attack".
Meanwhile, violence also broke out on Sunday after the funeral of a 14-year-old American Palestinian teenager who was shot dead by Israeli police in the West Bank on Friday. At a cabinet meeting on Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused "radical Islamist forces" of trying to foment violence in Jerusalem.
"We will not allow the reality of Jerusalem to become one of throwing stones and firebombs, and disturbances," he said.
