What would make me even happier than an unmoderated forum would be... a decent forum!

One where we can post replies to other peoples comments to actually have some kind of debate.

Everyone could be in control of moderating their own comment thread to keep them free of insults etc. So easy to do.

The problem is that the BBC does not want certain topics discussed in a free and open way.

Why?

Before people start moaning about the current economic situation they need to remember that things were far worse in the 80s and 90s when the tories were in power.

So be happy the tories are not in charge.

I'm very happy about that, I'd be even happier if Labour were not in charge either.

I'd be ecstatic if we had proportional representation & a real democracy to go with it rather than the two party Monarchist mess we have now.

Spliff and a beer at home, in peace, after work.

Happiness is - an unmoderated forum.

It won't last though - the BBC doesn't like freedom of speech.

I would be happy if I could get a job as a moderator.....they obviously need help.

NuTitanic Passenger, Cayton...Dis, United Kingdom

I think they are a victim of the credit crunch. There is now just one moderator unhappily operating out of a broom cupboard in Basingstoke.

"I would be happy if the moderators started passing through comments faster in the other threads...!

Ditto, too often comments are posted after the debate has been closed, pretty pointless if you ask me

Will the interest rate cut help the economy?

We are doomed. Brown has led this country into the abyss. Prudent savers are penalised, the pound plummets and Brown tries to bribe home owners by trying to avoid reposessions before the next General Election and all this in a country where 20% gets you a C at GCSE Science and 40% an A. Time to Go

Britain's jobless: Who cares?

Written by Usuckengland on Wed Dec 03 10:15:32 UTC 2008. 2 recommendations.

England is the laughing stock of the world in terms of what it dishes out to useless, lazy families likes these. Having had to move here for my husband I can tell you first hand this country is a total rip off. The government basically sodomizes any one who works, and wipes the ass of anyone who doesn't. Pathetic! Why don't they get these people to clean up the streets which are covered in their greasy chip containers. Be very very embarrassed England, the world views you as a joke!

What lessons can be learned from Mumbai?

We must not wage a war on 'terror' but rather on the poisonous ideas that inspired this attack, namely those of people who think its ok to kill people in the name of their (non-existent) 'god'.
Destroy religion and you will civilise the world at a stroke and attacks like this will become a thing of the past.
