"Violence against children is clearly unacceptable and illegal."

So violence against teachers isn't??

[SketchyBFC], Derby, United Kingdom

Just because one is against violence towards children does not imply approval of violence towards teachers. Can I recommend a course in rudimentary logic before your next post? Also, "??" has no meaning; a statement is either a question or it isn't - there are no degrees of question.

"Heaven help any one of those glorified baby sitters who lays a finger on my kid. They wouldn't know what hit them.

Jim, Manchester "

They are teachers. We don't train them and pay them so that they "babysit" your ininvited offsprings.

I had wonderful teachers when I was a kid. Yes, some of them hit me.
Heaven help you if you lay a finger on one of my teachers.
Your kids would not recognise your face in the morning.

Labour are a bunch of criminals and the electorate have just about worked that out after 11 years of the worst government since Harold got an arrow in his eye, but the answer is not to vote Eaton boy Cameron in, he is just as corrupt as they are.
End the three party dictatorship and vote a real opposition party into power, one that represents the people and not the "establishment".
We need to regain our country and put the Great back in Britain.

Did you demand an immediate election when Maggie resigned? If you don't understand how prime ministers are appointed what makes you think you should be entitled to vote?

Karl Popper, UK

It`s people like you - "the mentally impaired" ,that should not be allowed to vote ,get a life and learn to READ

They'll be advocating that the rule governing ineligibility to become an MP if you have a criminal record, is rescinded next.
No doubt Tony has pulled a few strings with Gordon for this one.
"Gordon! You and Labour are in the manure"! Get Mandelson back now or else".
No doubt Peter will have returned on the condition that Gordon supplies him with fresh rent-boys through his 'back door' at No 10.
At least one of Blair's dead-man-walking namesakes got shafted yesterday, that's one consolation.

In his previous cabinet career Mandelson was caught out twice and forced to resign twice, first time for a 6 figure loan that must have slipped his mind and the second time over dodgy passport dealings with the Hinduja brothers.

If this is the best that Gordon Brown can do to shore up his image then God help him.
