Cabinet reshuffle: Your views

Written by Adam Penny, Pellegrue, France on Fri Oct 03 18:18:42 UTC 2008. 5 recommendations.

In his previous cabinet career Mandelson was caught out twice and forced to resign twice, first time for a 6 figure loan that must have slipped his mind and the second time over dodgy passport dealings with the Hinduja brothers.

If this is the best that Gordon Brown can do to shore up his image then God help him.

So Brown needs to restore his battered image and brings in Mandy to help - tee hee!! Hitler was a very effective leader but was of course, barking mad. It is clear that Brown has at least one thing in common with Hitler.......

The best possible example of the decline of Britain into an immoral society. Thankyou Brown...degenerates like Mandelson will bring the day of Islam ever closer.

Has the global credit crisis dented your confidence?

Yes, companies will move to short term protection as a priority. Any research and development or new project will be put on hold.
Current projects will have their budgets held in case the cash is needed over the next couple of years, hire freezes will hit. Some companies will merge or downsize and create redundancies.
Companies will be just like you...you wont buy that new car, they wont employ you...till they know the opportunity to get finance is getting easier.

US presidential debate: Your views

Written by Bro Winky, Toronto, Canada on Sat Sep 27 05:18:53 UTC 2008. 6 recommendations.

“Has everyone forgotten it was the US who ended Hitler's death reign over Europe? Imagine a world with no France, Italy or Britain, just one huge Germany. That's what the world would look like without the US.”

Andrew Soule, United States

I think the USSR & the Commonwealth were also involved, and last time I checked, Britain held it’s own against Germany long before you yanks “graciously” joined in. As usual, egocentric Americans know nothing of history unless it’s in a Hollywood movie.

I don't buy the whole Nick Clegg phenomenon. What an electoral turn-off.

Like the BNP - which has got the most recommended post again on this HYS. Really.

"No I won't. He's a lightweight. Bring back Charles Kennedy at least he has some fire in his belly.

Nick smith, Huddersfield"

Did you actually mean "fire" or "fire water"?
