Can transport report cut congestion?

Welcome to the new Britain, where there are always two ideas, and two ideas only, to solve a supposed problem:

1 - Make the public pay for it
2 - Ban it.

Joy.

Does modern life cause depression?

Written by coach-uk on Tue Sep 12 12:39:30 UTC 2006. 14 recommendations.

In the UK we now live in a Thatcher-Blair society which promotes self-interest and an aggressively competitive attitude in ordinary people, so is it any wonder that the children of this right-wing society are products of the ideology?

Let's get rid of Blair and his dynasty and "reform" UK society back to the decent place it once was.

Are drugs a problem in your area?

Written by Andrew Glinn on Mon May 22 18:22:16 UTC 2006. 14 recommendations.

yes drugs are a real problem across the world but there is an even larger problem that receives little or no support for the sufferers and others and that is alchoholisiam.

if you are a drug usere you get lots of help and support but alchoholics get little or none and the are many more alchoholics in this country than peapole with a drug problem and the death toll for alchoholics compared to drug users is 9 to 1.

To Koshmar2005,

And the lefties response is to shout silly slogans and march with signs. Jeff fogltance comment was in response to a Canadian rattling his little sabre. And Why should Tony Sweeting of the UK emigrate to join us rednecks? Just because he doesn't like communists like you trying to run things in his country? I really love it when lefties get angry.

How can the West tackle extremism?

Written by Martin Smith, London on Wed Dec 20 12:21:52 UTC 2006. 13 recommendations.

Who are the "moderate" Muslims? Muslims see three types of "other": those with whom they are at war, those with whom they are in a state of truce, and those whom have been defeated. The first category of "other" must be defeated, the second dealt with tactically pending future war, and the last treated as second-class citizens under Muslim law.

Steve Irwin: Your reaction

Written by Tom on Mon Sep 04 10:36:42 UTC 2006. 13 recommendations.

Steve Irwin made a career out of deliberately provoking animals capable of doing harm to humans, animals which normally would avoid contact rather than attack. Personally, I think this behaviour reprehensible, and those who watched it ghoulish - half hoping that something would go wrong. Well it has, a foolish man is dead and a relatively harmless animal will be branded a "killer". This is no way to bring nature to the masses; it has more in common with the gladiatorial arena.

Should taxpayers bail-out banks?

Written by Kitchen Cynic, Midlands on Mon Oct 13 10:34:37 UTC 2008. 12 recommendations.

Should taxpayers bail-out politicians more like. Why the Hell should Mandelson continue to be paid with EU money when he is NOT doing an EU job? The whole world has gone mad.

To quote the BBC, Mandelson will "continue to receive taxpayer-funded EU pay worth £234,000 over three years - in addition to his annual ministerial salary of £104,386. "

DISGUSTING!

How can we protect teachers from bullying?

Written by Kevan Egan, Doncaster on Thu Feb 28 09:11:45 UTC 2008. 12 recommendations.

The simple solution would be to arm all teachers with tazers. I'd love it, just love it, if the balance of power were redressed in the classroom. It amazes me that the youth of today crave respect while having no intention of ever giving any themselves. Respect is earned. Think you can bully your educator? Bzzzzzzzzzz. Fancy some more punk? Bzzzzzzzzzzz
