Will a smoking ban improve your quality of life?

Smoking in public places will be banned in England on 1 July 2007, Patricia Hewitt has announced.

The ban will mean smoking is not allowed in offices, factories, pubs and bars but will not stop people from smoking outdoors or in private homes.

Ministers say it will protect everyone from passive smoking, but opponents say the total ban is "draconian".

Do you agree with a ban on smoking in enclosed public places? Will you adhere to these new rules? Will this encourage you to give up? Send us your views.

Would you be happy if I spat in yours? Smoking should only be allowed if the criminal wears a smoking hood, sealed, ... with the smoker compulsory fumigated after... smelly outcasts!! The full weight of the law must be applied!!

Are you on crack? What is with the rabid attitude and once smokers have been beaten into submission then who will you turn your rage on next? Either you are taking the mick or you need to lighten up, not sure which.

You could get 3 or 4 normal people in the space some of these obese folk take up and the fire exits would be more accessible. Even the look of some of them makes me want to hurl which poses a health risk to me and those around me.

But there is one crucial difference: when someone is drinking, they are not urinating all over the people surrounding them! It's as simple as that.
