What are your wishes for 2007?

804 published comments with 48 censored.

What are your hopes and predictions for the next 12 months?

The UN's new Secretary General takes over. The French vote for a new president and the UK gets a new PM. Russia could join the World Trade Organisation. Germany assumes the presidency of the G8.

Security, the economy, trade and climate change are some of the issues expected to dominate the thoughts of world leaders. There's also nuclear proliferation, migration and new technology.

What are your priorities in the New Year? What do you hope will happen? What do you think will happen? How do you think the world will change in the next 12 months?

This will be the subject of the Have Your Say programme on Sunday 31 December at 1400 on World, World Service Radio and Online. Include you phone number if you want to take part. It will not be published.

My priorities are to help the people I can actively help as there is so much I cannot influence. I hope the Human Rights Act 1998 can be repealed or amended as it has unintentionally created so much inequality and unfairness. I don't think much will change because as a 'civilised society' we don't get tough when we should. I worry about climate change which is happening NOW. Phone me anytime on 07973 251191.

I hope that Europe wises up to the Islamic timebomb it's sitting on. See for example the fellow who wants Sharia law imposed in the UK. Funny how they demand an Islamic world free from outside influence, but show no such respect for our culture and heritage.

Can i just clarify something?
America got into WW2 because a German U-boat sank one of their ships, not because they wanted to save englishmen!
If anyone could find Rosevelts speach about milking the english cow they would see what was really going on!
Truth be know we would all be German had they not tried to take Russia at the same time!
America have never saved the world! They contributed in a joint venture that was started by the British who were offered assistance from Canada!

That Muslims stop telling us infidels we have to educate ourselves about Islam everytime someone from their community committs a hate crime. Furthermore I wish they would educate themselves on Buddhism. I am not a Buddhist myself but it is plain to see that self proclaimed peace religion could learn a lot from it.

Germany certainly did have submarines in WWI, one of which sunk the RMS Lusitania in 1915. That act contributed to America's subsequent entry into the war.

This country is a democracy. When the majority wish for Sharia law it may happen. If not you are free to relocate to a country where Sharia law is practised. Until then please accept the laws of the UK in the same way that I accept Sharia law when working in countries where it is practised.
