just one small contribution about this size 16 marilyn monroe's debate...once I saw some of her outfit in a cinema exibition and...sorry, guys but she was no way a size 16. Some of her dresses would not fit me in the waist and I am a size 10...I reckon she was a size 12 at most.
Her shoes were size 3! can imagine a size 16 woman wearing a size 3 pair of shoes? no way...she was not a size 16, not a modern size 16 as least.

Well, as a man I feel qualified to answer. You're wrong. Thinner women are more attractive than lardies to at least some men, me included. I'll take Kate Moss over Sophie Dahl any day.

The fact is, most women want to be slimmer rather than fatter and if you want to sell something, you fit it to the punters' aspirations. With a car you fill it with bikini-models, with a dress, you stick a size zero in it. Realism is irrelevant. If most women wanted to gain weight the models would be obese.
