I wouldn't buy anything from Sony. We paid 800 quid for a tv/video/dvd set. Video blew up on first use. 3 months later the telly went, the robbing swines charged me 35 quid to take it away and fix it merely because the stupid thing weighs more than my car and doesn't fit in a Fiesta. A month later it went again and another 35 quid for the thieving a***holes to take it back and fix what they hadn't fixed last time. Absolute rip off and the quality of Sony products is naff.

I just bought one of Gamestation's bundles. PS3, 2 games and X-Men 3. Upon returning home they had omitted the movie. Off I trot back to the shop where they tell me it's for pre-orders only! I explained it didn't say so on the sign in the window and they then admitted they didn't have enough copies so couldn't let me have one. I then had to ring them up from home to complain to be told the store was wrong and I am entitled to a free movie. I have to now go back again! So avoid GAMESTATION

Not sure about that. Clearly the BBC has an 'agenda' - which comes through in the selective moderation sometimes, particularly towards the end of debates - but I don't necessarily think it's the same as the government's.

the 360 came out in december 2005, the wii came out in november 2006. the xbox(although being ugly and the size of a bulldozer)was still better,and more reasonable to buy(not that the ps3 is reasonable)and the wii has bad graphics compare to 360 but is better than ps3

Hooked my Linksys ADSL modem straight into the back of my new PS3 las night and was playing Ridge Racer 7 in minutes online. I have a sony Bravia and unlike the 360 can play games in true HD something the xbox cannot ever do. Is it overpriced....? no in my opinion its a high spec machine that can do so much more than play games. Its a shame that most xbox owners have slagged it off but then again they do have more time on their hands as the 360 like most Microsft products, is bugged like hell.

Did you know that it actually has 8 parts in it's processor ("The Cell"), but they can't manufacture it properly? So what happens is that the tiny percentage that have all 8 parts working are taken by IBM for their server computers (IBM, Toshiba and Sony developed "The Cell" in partnership), and Sony use the broken ones that only have 7 parts working in their Playstation 3's?

I really think all the couch potato 360, PS3 game playing generation should switch of their games and go out and try and get a life or a girlfriend. Game playing is a real waste of time, and a social malaise. Its been clinically proven that games that are based on shoot-ups and violence have a negative effect on the players, as shown earlier this week that car games increase the chance of aggresive driving. Switch off now sado's.
Sony launches its new games console in Europe this Friday.
Eager gamers have been queuing in London since Wednesday afternoon, despite concern from police about potential muggings.
Sony has said it has put several measures in place to ensure people attending the launch get home safely.
Australia was the first country outside the US and Japan to experience the new console after it was released there on Thursday.
