What are your plans for the Easter weekend?

An early Easter this year means that for many it will be the first long weekend of the spring and the perfect excuse for a break.

In expectation of the hordes of holidaymakers pouring out of the country, extra security guards have drafted into UK airports.

Staff at Heathrow are also getting ready for the first big test of BA's new baggage restrictions that mean passengers will only be able to check in one bag free of charge.

Flying away? Having a British break? Or just lounging around? What are you planning to do over the next few days?

Any chance of some real miracles mate? What about curing disease and famine?

Or how about some peace on Earth?

every government ever with atheists in charge up to now has slaughtered dissidents wholesale, I just hope you lot never take charge of more western countries than Cuba.

Steven McDaniel, Sand Springs, United State

I hold no brief for Cuba. There are atheists in government here in the UK as well as believers. I merely stated that atheism does not = evil, as christianity does not automatically = good. I don't hate Christians, I just think that based on science, their beliefs are wrong.

How about we close this HYS and open the Terrorism one which was up for less than 24 hours, and quickly shut by the BBC because they didn't like the posts coming through?

They set it up for a round of anti-American bashing, but got an ear full about Islamists and decided to retreat like the leftist weasels that they are.

Unless the BBC host can provide us with a decent answer as to why that HYS was only open for 24 hours?

The left have waged war against white Christianity in this country, while at the same time promoting immigration & support for the immigrants to retain their way of life.

The obvious example is with Muslims. Now we have a situation where more Muslims go to Mosque than Christians go to Church. Traitors like Red Ken want to build MEGA Mosques.

The bible is just a set of rules of how to get by in the middle east 2000 years ago. Anyone who thinks there is any relevance to modern western life in the 21st century is seriously deluded.
Ok, lets all love each other (except my father in law, that's asking too much), but apart from that, what is there? This also applies to every other religion too. What on earth is the point of going round dressed in garb that is more appropriate for desert life? Would I wear a trenchcoat in the Sahara?

"Anyone who thinks [the Bible has] any relevance to modern western life in the 21st century is seriously deluded"

Leonard Day, Cardiff

Every civilization is built on the understanding of a religion. To say that there is no relevance today is simple ignorance.

'Thou shall not kill', etc.. is still valid today. There were times and places where it was perfectly acceptable to kill anyone for any reason. Without a history of Religion we would all still live in a very barbaric world.

Are not some religions hijacked by people advocating death to non believers?

[fancyapint], United Kingdom

Not hijacked at all - it is an integral part of it. For example The Qur'an says: "Fight and slay the pagans [Christians] wherever ye find them and seize them, confine them, and lie in wait for them in every place of ambush" (Surah 9:5). There are dozens of such quotes...try reading it, it's scary stuff. So much for Islam being a "religion" of peace.

bob bobwell, Dubai

Religion is repsonsible for most of the barbaric actions in the world today - evil cults like Islam and christianity. The human race needs to move on from these cults or we are doomed. But if we are stupid enough to worship deities, maybe that's the best thing for us.

Easter: The death and resurrection of Jesus, Son of God. Like it or not, it was the sin of every human past/present/future that put him on the cross. Jesus is not religion: He is an individual that you can have a spiritual relationship with. He is the epitomisation of self sacrificial love & we cannot escape the fact that he died horribly as a sacrifice for us.

Whatever you think about church/religion - when you stand before God one day and he asks you "Do you know my son", what will you say?

[Rustigjongens], Maastricht

Because it's inherant in all these religions that those of us who do not believe in them have to be "saved" or at worst killed. I also strongly object to the notion that just because I don't believe in a deity, I am some kind of evil being with no morals. I see religion as by far the biggest threat to humanity.

Forget religion, and stop moaning about delays and congestion. Most of all enjoy your Bank Holiday city break, visit to family or week in a foreign destination, because in a couple of years we peasants will be sitting at home whilst the rich and Party apparachiks enjoy the empty roads, trains and airports brought about by New Labour's determined attempts to price all forms of transport out of the reach of the working citizen.
