In my childhood every day was summer.
I am sure I have experienced warmer days in April, I don`t see anything extraordinary about the weather, my trees are slightly late coming in to leaf, the daffs were just about on time, and the bluebells have just come into flower, the grass needs cutting for the first time this year.

I'm only 25, but even I remember when the BBC used to be independent, well-written and researched reporting. Now it's a shambles - they'll only ever publish one point of view, won't discuss the alternatives and sycophantically support what has been a pretty shocking Government.

Simon Smith,

Its called "social conditioning", they use it in education as well, thats why the are no original free thinking teachers left in the education system and the media only have small differences of view.

Ironic that this is being discussed in a fully moderated HYS with to date over 200 comments submitted and 0 published.

Apparently, the next elections are going to be held on the BBC HYS site with Gordon Brown moderating the votes, I wonder who is going to win?

I don't know if it's a result of global warming or an act of G-d. Read that Canadian crews out hunting and killing baby seals have been cut off in their boats by ice floes and are in mortal danger. Helicopters have been sent to try and rescue the crews.

I believe that if the BBC pulls one of your comments they should explain the reasons why . Moderators should not be allowed to act like God without a good reason .

[psychoticfool]

Spot on, I have had loads of comments removed, often after several recommendations, which are selfmoderated, maybe slightly off topic, but everything is related ultimately. All the missiles flying around the gulf at the moment cannot be good for the climate which does relate Bush into this HYS, ie global warming.

[Martin1983], London, United Kingdom

You wouldn't - that rarely gets reported in the press and remember that the region has officially been at war since 1967.

So think about it, people's choice is this: express sorrow and hang out in a prison or keep your mouth shut and continue to feed you family. You know how thorny politics is in most of the Middle East.

Of course it's wrong if Israel is in the wrong, by the same reason it's wrong and immoral to favour Palestinians when they commit a terrorist attack. Both sides are at fault in this but some people would have you believe one side is responsible for everything and the other can do no wrong.

They also passed a motion of support for Hugo Chavez. Their boycott of Israel came on the 1 month anniversary of Alan Johnston's kidnap by Palestinians. They decided to boycott the only country in the middle east with freedom of press and unions. It would be funny if it wasn't so serious.
