'Well paid job' | |
Two others - Donovan Demetrius, 29, of Marsh Lane, Redfield, Bristol, and James Ireland, 23, of Richmond Villas, Avonmouth - have been accused of helping move the dismembered remains of Becky, which they deny.
Giving evidence, Nathan Bignell - a colleague - told the jury the pair carried out a "job" on the night Becky's body was allegedly moved to the shed.
"The job was collecting or delivering something and they would get paid well for doing it," Mr Bignell said.
During their night shift, he noticed a white work van was missing and two to three hours later the pair returned to work, the jury heard.
It is alleged during this time, in the early hours of 24 February, the pair used the van to collect Becky's body parts from Cotton Mill Lane, Barton Hill, and move them to the home of Mr Demetrius' brother Karl and his partner, Jaydene Parsons.
Demetrius, 29, and Parsons, 23, both of Barton Court, Bristol, previously pleaded guilty to assisting an offender but both said they were unaware of what was stashed in their shed.
The trial at Bristol Crown Court continues. |
