Homicide victim found in Alexandria Park

A 22-year-old man was killed and found in a park on Friday, Alexandria police said.

Police said that Eduardo David Chandias Almendarez was a victim of homicide.

Crystal Nosal, a police spokeswoman, said that the young man, an Alexandria resident, was reported missing, and the person who reported his disappearance said that he was last seen in Four Mile Run Park on Nov. 28.

A search-and-rescue team looked in the park on Friday and found his body.

Nosal said that Chandias Almendarez had apparent injuries that indicated he was a victim of homicide. She said police have not identified a suspect.
