Several flights to and from Scotland have been cancelled in the second day of chaos at Heathrow's newly-opened Terminal 5. Scottish business leaders have claimed that Scotland has been disproportionately affected by the problems at Heathrow's Terminal 5.
British Airways has drafted in extra staff to try to ease the problems that hit the launch of the £4.3bn terminal on Thursday.

He added: "Filtering everything through Heathrow leaves us extremely vulnerable, we need more direct flights and of course we should have a fast train service north to south."

The airline, which has sole use of the new terminal, was forced to suspend all baggage check-in and cancel more than 30 flights, including some to Scotland.

A Glasgow flight due to arrive at 0825 GMT on Friday was hit, along with two scheduled to arrive in Edinburgh at 1015 GMT and 1835 GMT.
Two Aberdeen-bound flights due to reach the city at 1010 GMT and 1910 GMT were also cancelled.
A further six Scottish flights bound for Heathrow were axed - the 0905 GMT from Glasgow, the 1145 GMT and 1915 GMT from Edinburgh, and the 1025 GMT, 1140 GMT and 2010 GMT from Aberdeen.
A spokesman for BA said that Thursday's problems, which included delays at the staff car park and at security, would have a knock-on effect on Friday.
