A woman and young boy have been found dead close to a cliff in the Sydney beachside suburb of Maroubra after emergency services were alerted to concerns for a mother and child. A 26-year-old woman her two-year-old son have been found dead close to a cliff in the Sydney beachside suburb of Maroubra.
Emergency services were called to the cliff face about 8.30pm on Thursday, and the bodies of the woman and boy were found during a subsequent search. Emergency services were alerted to concerns for for a mother and chid at about 8.30pm on Thursday.
Police said they were not looking for anyone else in connection to the deaths, and the woman and child were still to be formally identified. Police from the local area, with the help of police rescue, surf lifesavers and a paramedics rescue helicopter, searched the area and discovered the bodies of the pair.
