Men’s basketball:  Senior D’Vauntes Smith-Riverawas selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division I All-District 5 second team. This is the second postseason honor for the Hoyas guard, who was also an all-Big East second-team selection. It also marks his third career recognition from the NABC, as he was a first-team honoree in 2014-15 as a junior and a second-team selection in 2013-14 as a sophomore. Smith-Rivera led Georgetown in scoring this year with 16.2 points per game, which ranked fifth in the Big East Conference. His 533 points scored were the 25th-most in a single season in Georgetown history.

Women’s lacrosse: Georgetown fell to Loyola (Md.), 12-9, Tuesday evening at Cooper Field. Senior Kristen Bandos led the way with five goals, while freshman Francesca Whitehurst managed two goals and an assist. The Hoyas (2-7) outshot the Greyhounds, 21-19, and pulled in 16 draw controls to Loyola’s seven.

Baseball: The Hoyas (11-13) defeated crosstown rival George Washington, 3-2, on Tuesday before falling three times at UNCG, which came in with the nation’s top offense, over the weekend.  Michael DeRenzi led GU for the weekend, batting .500 (7 for 14) with a home run, double, three stolen bases, four runs scored and five RBI.

Men's lacrosse: Freshman Chris Donovan was named to the Big East weekly honor roll after a pair of two-goal games last week. Donovan scored two goals and nearly had a third, before a shot-clock violation sealed the Hoyas’ fell to 1-8 with a 9-8 loss in their conference opener at Marquette. He also scored two goals in Georgetown’s 10-7 loss to No. 15 Loyola last Wednesday.

Tennis: The Hoyas fell to George Washington, 5-2 in a nonconference matchup on Friday. Peter Beatty and Will Sharton kept the match from being a shutout with three-set victories at the Nos. 3 and 6 spots, respectively. The Hoyas women blanked Seton Hall, 7-0. The Blue & Gray dominated doubles play with ease as the Hoyas secured all three matches. Keeping control of the match, Georgetown took three out six singles matches in straight sets while three Hoyas rallied to keep the 7-0 GU victory intact.

Softball: The Hoyas (6-21, 1-2 Big East) went 1-2 against St. John’s in its first weekend of league play. GU fell to the Red Storm in game one and three, but outplayed St. John’s, 6-4, in game two of the series. The win was highlighted by a grand slam from Samantha Giovanniello. The senior registered five RBI over the weekend, with her performance garnering her Big East honor roll recognition.

Men’s golf:  Georgetown finished 13th out of 18 teams after shooting a team score of 13-over-par 297 on the final day of the 2016 FAU Slomin Autism Championship on Sunday afternoon. Junior Austin Rendell finished tied for 16th overall, finishing 54 holes with a 1-over 214. He shot a 4-over 75 during the final round, finishing nine strokes behind a three-way tie for the top score.

Men’s rowing: The men's lightweight rowing team opened its spring season on Easter Sunday, hosting Princeton in the Fosburgh Cup on the friendly waters of the Potomac River. While the Hoyas dropped each race, every one of Georgetown's boats closed the gap from last year's meeting with Princeton.

Women’s rowing: The women's team took to the waters on Friday for the first time this spring, on Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, N.C.. racing in the Class of 2006 Cup against North Carolina as well as competing against Old Dominion. Despite racing well, the Hoyas dropped its races in the varsity 8, second varsity 8 and varsity 4.
