A nine-year-old girl has died following an "incident with a horse" at an organised event at a farm in Gloucestershire, police said. A nine-year-old girl has been killed in a horse-riding accident while out with a hunt in Gloucestershire.
The girl was taken to the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital by air ambulance after she was injured near Miserden on Saturday lunchtime. The girl is understood to have been out with the Cotswold Hunt in Miserden, near Stroud, when she was injured on Saturday afternoon.
Police said the girl suffered serious injuries and died in hospital. She was taken to the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital but died later.
The coroner has been informed. Police are not treating the death as suspicious. Police said the girl's family and the coroner had been told of the death, which is not being treated as suspicious.
