Officers had been led to the bone fragments following indications by sniffer dogs, the spokeswoman added.
She said: "The teeth could have come from the same child although further tests will be necessary to try and ascertain if that is the case, and how the teeth might have come to be there."
Possible murder inquiry
Up to 100 people have alleged that they were sexually and physically abused at Haut de la Garenne as children.
Officers have been searching four cellars referred to as "punishment rooms" by alleged victims.
Police say a skull fragment found in February probably pre-dates 1940.
However, they said their investigation remained a possible murder inquiry.
In 2006, officers began covertly investigating claims of sexual and physical abuse of children dating back to the 1960s at Haut de la Garenne, following allegations by former residents.
Search teams have found a number of items, including shackles and a bath, which they say corroborate claims from victims.
There are believed to be more than 40 suspects in the overall inquiry.
