An Afghan interpreter who was due to be deported imminently has had his removal from the UK halted after the High Court ordered he be released from detention. Hafizzulah Husseinkhel had been scheduled to be removed within days after the Home Office handed him removal papers and sent him to a detention centre last week.
But the 26-year-old will now be released today after the Home Office failed to contest a bail application lodged by his barrister.
