Two men have appeared in court charged with the murder of a man at a nightclub in Bristol. | |
Jamel Powell, 37, died following a disturbance at the Blue Mountain Club on Moon Street, Stokes Croft, at about 03.00 GMT on Saturday. | |
Ian Power, of no fixed abode, and Errol Anderson, of Two Mile Hill Road, Bristol, were both charged with murder. | |
A post-mortem examination showed Mr Powell had been stabbed multiple times, Avon and Somerset Police said. | |
Mr Power, 39, and Mr Anderson, 55, appeared in separate hearings at Bristol Magistrates' Court. | |
Both were remanded in custody to appear before Bristol Crown Court via video link on Thursday. | |
In two further separate cases, the brothers of Mr Powell also appeared before magistrates accused of wounding Mr Anderson with intent to do him grievous bodily harm. | |
The court heard the incident took place outside the club a short time after Mr Powell was attacked. | |
Rafiki Powell, 29, of Wells Road, Bristol, and Meikel Powell, 29, of Webb Street, Bristol, were remanded in custody to appear before crown court on 2 February. |
