Insp Adrian Calton, of Suffolk Police, said: "I am extremely proud of PCSO Burke, his quick thinking helped to calm a very stressful situation for the parents, and by passing messages to and from the ambulance service he was able to give advice to Mr Fitt to help deliver the baby safely.
"It shows his dedication to serving the community, he is a real asset to Suffolk Constabulary and is commended for his actions."
