A teenage boy is critically ill in hospital after becoming the latest victim of knife crime in London. A teenage boy and a man are seriously ill in hospital after becoming the latest victims of separate knife attacks in London.
Police were called just after midday on Wednesday to reports of a stabbing in White City, west London. A London Ambulance spokeswoman said that an incident response officer, two single responders, an ambulance crew and the air ambulance were sent to the scene. “We treated a teenage boy at the scene and took him by road as a priority to a major trauma centre,” she said. Within two hours, at 1.53pm, police were called to a separate incident in Hackney, east London. A man, who was found at the scene with stab wounds, was taken to hospital in a serious condition, the Metropolitan police said.
The area was cordoned off by police as their inquiries continued. The boy’s family was being informed and no arrests had been made, the Met police confirmed. No arrests have yet been made over either incident as inquiries continue.
The incident comes amid growing alarm about a spate of fatal stabbings in London. Air ambulances were sent to both scenes but the victims were taken to trauma centres by road, a spokeswoman for London Ambulance said.
On the White City incident she said: “We treated a teenage boy at the scene and took him by road as a priority to a major trauma centre.”
The boy’s family was being informed the Met police confirmed.
