Dyfed-Powys Police has urged motorists only to make "urgent journeys" in flood affected areas, including around Montgomeryshire, after a mother and child needed help on the A483 when their vehicle became stuck.
"Do not take unnecessary risks," warned Dyfed-Powys officers.
