Explore the icy worlds of the Arctic and Antarctic as seen through the eyes of Robert Scott and other explorers.

A unique collection of more than 20,000 images - dating from 1845-1960 - is being made available by the Scott Polar Research Institute at the University of Cambridge.

Here, the institute's Archivist Manager Naomi Boneham, explains the significance of some of the most stunning photographs.
