A 17-year-old boy has died after being stabbed in a "targeted attack". A 17-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car and then stabbed in a "shocking, targeted attack".
Officers were alerted to the stabbing on Peveril Road in Salford at about 20:15 BST on Wednesday. Josiah Norman was struck by the vehicle and then attacked in Peveril Road, Salford, at 20:15 BST on Wednesday, Greater Manchester Police said.

The suspect was held after police were called to Stowell Street following reports of a second 17-year-old boy suffering stab wounds to his arm. Supt Glenn Jones said the victim had been walking down the street with a friend when a car pulled up, two men got out and he was assaulted.
That teenager had already left the scene when officers arrived and gone to hospital, the force said. A second vehicle then pulled up, striking him, he said.
"Another man then exited that vehicle, Josiah was then stabbed and the men left the scene," the officer continued.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward
