Five men arrested over the murder of Londonderry man Emmet Shiels have been released by the police.

Four of them were released without charge, while the other, a 33-year-old, was released pending a report to the PPS.

Mr Shiels, 22, from Tyrconnell Street in the Bogside, was delivering pizzas in June 2008 when he was caught up in a row with masked gunmen and shot dead.

Two other people have already been charged in connection with his murder.

On Sunday police seized a small amount of cannabis from a house in Creggan as part of the same investigation.
