Man shot three times on doorstep Child 'used' in city gun attack

A 26-year-old man has been taken to hospital after being shot in the Florence Street area of Londonderry. There have been claims that a child was used to lure a shooting victim to his front door in Londonderry.
Police said that at about 2350 BST on Sunday. the victim opened the front door of his house and a man shot him. A 26-year-old man was hit three times in the lower legs after going to the front door of his Florence Street home at about 2350 BST on Sunday.
The man fired three shots through the door hitting the victim twice in one leg and once in his other foot. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening. The male attacker left the scene on foot.

"It is not quite confirmed or clear, but there is certainly an indication that there was a young child initially used to knock the door, to get the young man to come to the front door in the first place," she said.
"I spoke to the young man's partner and friends this morning and they are all very shocked and angry."
