A bag containing bones, which could be human, has been found at the side of the M5 north of Bristol. | |
A motorway workman clearing vegetation next to a slip-road made the discovery at Thornbury, South Gloucestershire, just after 1200 BST. | |
A police spokesman said the bag contained bones but it was not clear whether they were human or animal. | |
"Plain-clothes officers and forensic teams have been sent to the scene to investigate the find," he added. | |
One lane of the slip-road for junction 14 has been closed while police carry out a search of the area. |
