Teens injured in laneway shooting

It was reported to police that shortly before 2200 GMT on Friday, a masked man fired a number of shots in a laneway opposite Colin Road. A 16-year-old boy was shot in the lower back and a 19-year-old man in both legs. Police said a motive has yet to be established, but paramilitary involvement is one line of inquiry. The gunman was described as being about 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build and was wearing dark clothing. Police have appealed for witnesses. |
