Mr Griffiths said investing in jobs was the party's top priority in Wales. The Greens are fielding 13 candidates in Wales, and Mr Griffiths said investing in employment was the party's top priority.
Responding to Liberal Democrat plans to invest £150m in environmentally-frriendly jobs for Wales he said: "Greens are promising more investment in jobs than anyone else, £2.2bn. "What's really important is to try and create jobs - that we try and move forward out of this recession.
"But this small investment, when compared with the bank bailouts would lever much more investment into the economy." "We think it's really important when we are creating jobs to look at how we can tackle climate change as well.
Mr Griffiths also said that bringing the 50% tax threshold down from £150,000 was a realistic goal. "In Wales we estimate 50,000 jobs can be created by doing those two things. We have to invest at the moment.
"Our taxation system is one of the lowest in Europe... I think people are expecting change." "Making public service cuts is not the answer at this time: it's going to be devastating, particularly for the poorer areas of Wales like the valleys that have been suffering since Thatcher."
The Greens are putting up 13 candidates across Wales. Mr Griffiths said their programme was fully costed and independently vetted.
"In taxation we are talking about reducing the 50% tax rate from £150,000 to £100,000. It's progressive taxation we are talking about, taxing where people can afford to pay."
He said 87% of people would be better off with their taxation proposals.
The Greens would also bring in environmental taxes, raising them from around 7% to 14%.
