A man has been charged with murdering a mother-of-two from Nottingham. A man has appeared in court accused of the murder of a mother-of-two from Nottingham.
Carl Michael Powell, 23, of Carlton, Nottingham, has been charged with murdering 26-year-old Caroline Coyne, Nottinghamshire Police said. Carl Powell, 23, from Carlton, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court charged with the murder of Caroline Coyne.
Ms Coyne's body was found in Thorneywood Mount on 23 July. She had suffered head injuries. Ms Coyne, 26, was found dead in Thorneywood Mount on 23 July.
Mr Powell has also been charged with two sexual assaults on a woman in Nottingham on 24 August. He will appear before magistrates in the city later. Mr Powell spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth and was remanded in custody to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday.
No application for bail was made.
At the court, Mr Powell denied a charge of sexual assault and another of common assault with intent to commit sexual assault on 24 August. These will be dealt with at a court hearing on 5 September.
