Version 0 of 1.

Police are carrying out house-to-house inquiries as part of a search for three robbers who tied up and beat a family in their own home.

The father, mother and adult daughter needed treatment for their injuries after the attack in Hawksdown Road, Walmer, near Deal, on Friday.

Officers recovered a car in St Margaret's at Cliffe which they believe the robbers used to flee the scene.

Police have described the attack on the family as "brutal".

'Shocking attack'

Det Insp Kenny Ingram said: "We believe it was something to do with the premises or business properties that they own.

"The offenders were demanding the keys to those properties, so that is the line of inquiry that we are following at the moment.

He added: "The family are obviously shaken. It was a very shocking attack. The mother sustained injuries and they are trying to recuperate as we speak."

The men were said to have all been aged in their 20s.

One was 5ft 11in tall, slim, with fair hair, and was wearing a white hooded top, dark trousers and pink fingerless gloves.

A second man was described as 6ft tall, of slim to medium build, and wearing a dark hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms tucked into socks.

The third robber was said to be 6ft tall and of medium build.
