Lorna Vickerage and John Bush, 35, were spotted by plain-clothes police officers. | |
South Yorkshire Police said they were found near Euston station at about 14:35 BST. Mr Bush has been arrested on suspicion of child abduction. | |
Detectives had been searching for them since Lorna disappeared from Outwood Academy in Adwick, South Yorkshire. | |
Sightings of the pair were reported in Doncaster, Leicestershire and Watford. | |
'Over the moon' | |
Lorna's mother Christine Vickerage made an appeal for her return earlier. | |
Speaking outside Doncaster police station, she said: "John, if you are watching this, please fetch our Lorna home please. | |
"Lorna, you're not in any trouble, just come home sweetheart." | |
The teenager's grandmother Diane said: "Lorna, we love you very much and we're missing you." | |
Det Ch Insp Craig Robinson said the family was "over the moon" she had been found. | |
He said: "I can now confirm that Mr Bush has been arrested at Euston station and at the time Lorna was with him. | |
"Lorna has now been taken to a safe place at a London police station. | |
"He is in a police cell... and will probably be brought back to South Yorkshire tomorrow to be interviewed." |
