Firefighters in Dundee are tackling a major blaze in a block of flats in the Lochee area of the city. Firefighters have been tackling a major blaze at a derelict block of flats in Dundee.
Five fire engines, an aerial platform and a Command Support Unit were called to the property at Logie Street in the Lochee are of the city.

Four fire engines, an aerial platform and the Command Support Unit were called to the property in Logie Street, which contains about 12 flats. It is not thought that anyone was within the flats at the time and it is believed the block had been derelict for years and was due for demolition.
There are no reports of any injuries. Eyewitnesses said the flats were empty. The top floor and the attic space were said to be well alight. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Police and fire investigators will be examining the scene.
