Heavy rain and strong winds warning for south Wales 'Severe flooding' in Haverfordwest after rain warning

Heavy rain and strong southerly winds are hitting south Wales on Monday morning, leading to a yellow 'be aware' warning from the Met Office. Heavy rain and high winds have led to flooding in parts of Pembrokeshire.
It could lead to localised flooding, especially on rush-hour roads. The Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is reporting "severe" flooding in Hill Street, Haverfordwest.
Areas affected are Swansea, Bridgend, Neath Port Talbot, Vale of Glamorgan, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Cardiff, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil Several roads across Pembrokeshire are also affected by rain, and a flood warning is in place on the rivers Taf and Cynin.
Roads and shops were closed as flash flooding caused chaos around Cardiff on Saturday afternoon after heavy rain. A 'be aware' yellow warning of heavy rain across south Wales was issued on Monday morning.
On Monday the heavy rain should ease around the middle of the morning but more heavy rain is likely later, and a further warning could be issued. Areas covered by the warning include Swansea, Bridgend, Neath Port Talbot, Vale of Glamorgan, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Cardiff, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil.
