Army bomb experts have been examining the scene of an explosion that badly damaged a parked car in Londonderry. A bomb has exploded inside a car parked in a residential area of Londonderry.

No-one was injured in the explosion. Residents had to leave their homes for six hours during the night while bomb experts and police examined the scene.
Several homes were evacuated while the area was examined by police. The road was closed for a time but has since reopened. The car was badly damaged. Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
