Version 0 of 1.

Two Ryanair planes clipped each other on the ground at Dublin Airport, with part of a wing being torn off one of the jets. The two Boeing 737s had been taxiing to the runway at the airport when the “winglet” of one of the planes scraped against the tail of the other, a Ryanair spokeswoman said.

The Irish Aviation Authority confirmed it was investigating the incident after emergency services attended the scene. Pictures taken by passengers on board showed some of the damage to the winglet.

The incident delayed flights to Edinburgh and Brussels. Meanwhile, the airline’s shares were caught up in a sell-off of travel-related stocks.
