A fire at a Swansea factory has forced some production to be switched to a sister site in the US, say bosses.
An investigation into the fire at Pure Wafer's factory on Swansea's enterprise zone has started.
A total of 68 firefighters tackled the fire at its height on Millbrook Drive, Llansamlet, on Sunday morning.
Chief executive Richard Howells said he was thankful no one had been injured in the blaze at the factory which employs 130 staff.
He said the company was working with the emergency services to ascertain the cause of the fire before repairs could be carried out.
The factory, which recycles semi-conductor silicon sheets for hi-tech electronics companies, was due to enter a Christmas shutdown period between Tuesday and Saturday.
In a statement to the Stock Exchange on Monday morning, Mr Howells said: "We are putting into operation a full contingency plan which includes switching, where possible, some current production to our other facility in Prescott, Arizona, thereby minimising disruption to customers and limiting any financial impact on trading".
Emergency services were called to the factory at 09:00 GMT on Sunday.
A large oxygen and nitrogen store had to be protected while the blaze was tackled.
Eighteen people were evacuated before the fire service arrived and roads were closed with nearby residents told to keep windows and doors closed. | Eighteen people were evacuated before the fire service arrived and roads were closed with nearby residents told to keep windows and doors closed. |
