Aberdeen oilfield services group Asco wins £100m BP deal

Aberdeen-based oilfield services group Asco has won a contract worth more than £100m to support BP's UK North Sea operations. The deal with BP Exploration and Production will see Asco provide services for supply-base and warehouse operations, as well as waste management and local freight forwarding services. The contract is for five years, and includes options. Asco is owned by its management and private equity firm Doughty Hanson. Craig Lennox, chief executive of Asco's European operations, said: "We are pleased to be building on a client relationship that spans more than 20 years. "Maintaining this strong and successful connection with BP is a great achievement and we look forward to safely and efficiently delivering on this key contract." |
