Man falls 30ft from Devon cliff to rocks

A man who fell up to 30ft (9m) from cliffs and landed on rocks has been taken to hospital following a major rescue operation.

The 25-year-old fell from cliffs near Admiralty Road in the Stonehouse area of Plymouth at about 03:00 BST.

Fire crews, paramedics, coastguard teams and the RNLI lifeboat were involved in the rescue.

The man has been taken to the city's Derriford Hospital. His condition is not known.
