http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-33670066 Version 0 of 1. A pilot killed in a plane crash in Ireland was flying a type of plane seen in a James Bond film. Howard Cox, 67, from Devon, was on his way to an air show in a single-seat BD5 aircraft when it came down on Saturday evening in a field near Dungarvan, County Waterford. The same type of plane featured in the opening sequence of the Bond film Octopussy. Ireland's Air Accident Investigation Unit is examining the crash scene. Mr Cox had been in Ireland for several days preparing for the Foynes Air Show at the Shannon Estuary. A minute's silence was held at the show with organisers dedicating the day's events in memory of the pilot. |
