A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed at a house in West Berkshire.

The 48-year-old victim is in a serious but stable condition at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

She was attacked in Robins Hill in Inkpen, near Hungerford at 14:20 BST on Thursday.

The 49-year-old man was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Reading Crown Court on Monday.
