Spanish police said Mr Lopez Pena was one of the major movers behind the abandonment of Eta's ceasefire last year. Police also seized hand-guns and a computer in the raid.
He is accused of being involved in the December 2006 car bombing at Madrid's airport that killed two people, an attack that signalled the ending of the ceasefire. On the run for more than two decades, Mr Lopez Pena is believed to have assumed command of Eta in 2006, while the group was on a ceasefire.
Spanish media said Ms Ozaeta was the masked woman who made the official announcement in a June 2007 Eta video. He engaged in ultimately unsuccessful talks with the Spanish government, and is believed to have been closely involved in the decision to abandon the ceasefire.
