Lamara Bell, 25, and her partner John Yuill, 28, crashed their car on the M9 on July 5. A member of the public phoned emergency services and reported seeing the damaged vehicle by the roadside. The couple were found three days later. Mr Yuill had died and Ms Bell was alive but seriously injured. In light of the incident, Scottish Justice Secretary Michael Matheson has ordered a review of all police call handling. The case is now also the subject of an independent investigation by the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner. | |
