In speaking to the EPBC changes, Greg Hunt says the increase in litigation against resource projects by green activists was importing the worst of the American system.
He says the intention of the EPBC act was to provide certainty for the environment and development projects.
He describes the actions in court as a “well funded coordinated strategy to frustrate the EPBC act” which is caused by the explicit Americanisation of environment campaigning by tying up development projects in the legal system.
