Man charged with murdering father in Tower Hamlets

A man has been charged with murdering his father and trying to kill two children in east London.

Suluk Ahmed, 31, of Huddleston Close, is accused of killing 79-year-old Jamir Ali, who was stabbed to death on Sunday evening in Tower Hamlets.

He is also charged with the attempted murder of a two-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl, who were both stabbed.

He will appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
