A woman in Brazil has been filmed tackling a man to the ground and restraining him after he reportedly began to act in an aggressive manner outside a nightclub.

The unknown man is seen shouting outside La Musique club, having removed his shirt in an apparent effort to show everyone how manly he is.

It was reported by the Daily Mail that there was "believed to have been some trouble between groups which had dispersed", but that the man on the footage was still seeking a fight.

The woman, who is around half his size, holds him around the waist and refuses to let go until she manages to tackle him to the ground and lock her leg around his neck.

Earlier this week an Irish tourist was filmed battling a group of shop keepers in Istanbul after he accidentally spilled bottles of water from a drinks cabinet.

A still from the video where a woman tackles a man twice her size to the ground to break up a fight Turkish media identified the tourist as Mohammed Fadel Dobbous, a Kuwait-born Irish national who became a social media hero when footage emerged of him taking on the other men in Askaray.

Mr Dobbous remained in Istanbul, and the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade confirmed to The Independent that it was providing Mr Dobbous with "consular assistance".
