Version 0 of 1.

A 20-year-old woman is fighting for her life in hospital after she and two other young women were in collision with a car.

The three women - all the same age - were involved in the incident shortly after 4am on Saturday morning in Islington, north London.

Scotland Yard said there were reports of a car in collision with three pedestrians on York Way, near the junction with Randells Road.

The women were taken to a hospital in central London. The first is in a critical condition, the second in a serious condition, and the third is receiving treatment for a leg injury.

The car did not stop at the scene, but was later found abandoned after having collided with a tree, a Yard spokesman said.

A 33-year-old woman has since voluntarily attended a north London police station and has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Any witnesses or anyone with any information was urged to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Alperton traffic garage on 020 8991 9555, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
